ABOUT THE PLACE

For a relaxed winter weekend trip of two to three days Taki, a town on the bank of Ichamati River in the district of North 24 pgs, is an ideal option. Time flies away simply sitting on the riverbed and observing the captivating sight of ever-changing mood and colour of the river-water. Ichamati is the international border between India and Bangladesh. Some other worth visiting places in the vicinity are the old palace of the zamindars, Kali Temple, Ramkrishna Mission, Jora Temple, Nandadulal Temple and a memorial of 21 February.
