More wings towards Pakistan
Number of flights between India and Pakistan are going to increase. 28 flights, being increased from 12 at present, will be operating between the two neighbouring countries soon. Direct air-link between the capitals of the countries will also be commencing in due course. The joint-statement from the civil air-transport officials of the two countries at the end of two-days Indo-Pak conference announced the decision.

Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Imphal go cheaper
Jetlite has introduced daily flights to Dibrugarh, Guwahati and Imphal at a cheap fare. Fare starts from Rs. 500. Dibrugarh flight from Kolkata will depart at 7 am everyday. Flight to Guwahati and Imphal will leave Kolkata at 10:55 am. Return flights to Kolkata will depart from Dibrugarh at 9 am. Kolkata bound flights will leave Guwahati and Imphal at 3:25 pm and 2:05 pm respectively.
Singapore Air hikes fare
Singapore airlines hikes its fares by 26 to 30 US $ for various Indian destinations from the home country. The hike will be up to 130 US $ for flights to Canada and United States. The hike is for the increased price of fuel as sources say.
New Eight for Tigers
Indian Government is about to implement eight new tiger projects all over the country. At present there are 28 tiger projects in the country comprising of 37, 761 square kilometers in 17 states altogether. The area under tiger conservation project will go up to a total of 50,000 square kilometers once the new projects starts playing. The new eights are Annamalai-Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary (Tamil Nadu and Kerala), Udanti and Sita river Wildlife Sanctuary (Chattisgarh), Satkoshia Wildlife Sanctuary (Orissa), Kajiranga National Park (Assam), Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary (Chattisgarh), Dandelli Wildlife Sanctuary and Ansi National Park (Karnataka), Sanjay National Park and Sanjay Dubri Wildlife Sanctuary (Madhya Pradesh) and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary (Tamil Nadu).
Adoption at Nandankanan
The Zoo authority of Nandankanan at Bhubaneswar in Orissa has ultimately gave their nod for adoption of animals. Ajit Pattanayak, Director of Nandankanan Zoo, in a recent announcement said that now on any of the 43 various mammals, 24 types of reptiles and 58 species of birds including Elephant, Lion and the Royal Bengal Tiger can be adopted. Any organisation, corporate house or even any individual can adopt these animals, birds and reptiles. The adopted will live in the Zoo. The adopter will have to bear the annual expenses for it. The expense is bit healthy of course. Adoption of an elephant will cost 2.30 lakh per annum whereas a tiger will cost 1 lakh per annum.
Sealdah-Jaipur Special
Eastern Rail is introducing a special train between Sealdah and Jaipur from 7 April. Till 30th June the train will depart from Sealdah every Monday at 10:50 pm. It will leave Jaipur for Sealdah every Sunday at 11.35 am. The train will halt at Burdwan, Durgapur and Asansol. Booking starts 28 March.
